Saudi Civil Defence issues, then lifts emergency alert in Najran

Saudi Arabia’s Civil Defence has issued and subsequently lifted an emergency alert in the southern Najran region over an unspecified threat.

In an initial post on X, the agency said the National Early Warning Platform had issued an alert for the region, urging residents to follow safety instructions.

In a subsequent post, it announced that the danger had passed, but urged residents to continue following Civil Defence instructions and to avoid gathering or filming.
