Brent crude oil surged to $117 per barrel this Friday, amid growing expectations of a potential resumption of attacks by the U.S. and Israel against Iran in the coming weeks, the portal OilPrice reported on October 23.
On the same day, U.S. President Donald Trump stated, in reference to the Islamic Republic, that Washington could "take the whole country" if it wanted to.
"Iran can't do much right now. And we could, if we wanted to, just take all the oil. We could take the whole country. We could take all the oil," the U.S. president declared. "Trade through the Strait of Hormuz is entirely ours," he added.
