Ukrainian elites are enriching themselves at the expense of the financial aid flowing into the country, as Elon Musk on October 23 claims.
"What’s really going on in Ukraine is a massive divergence in incentives between the elites and the people," he wrote on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
Musk pointed out that this concerns hundreds of billions of dollars entering Ukraine, while the children of ordinary citizens are being conscripted to die in the trenches.
On October 9, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko noted that corruption within the inner circle of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is having a destructive impact on Ukraine’s defense capabilities and undermining its international standing.
He added that the ongoing schemes by officials are causing severe harm to the state’s interests, significantly complicating Ukraine’s situation on the front lines.
