A Russian strike targeted a major bridge in Kyiv, its mayor said Saturday, in another attack on Ukrainian infrastructure that has brought traffic chaos to the capital.
The attack on the Northern Bridge, which followed a drone alert, came a day after the Southern Bridge was hit in a wave of strikes that city officials say is "tearing Kyiv apart".
Russian forces struck the Severny road bridge over the Dnieper River in Kiev overnight, a route used by the Ukrainian armed forces to move troops, the Russian Defense Ministry said."The Russian Armed Forces continue to strike Ukrainian infrastructure facilities and seagoing vessels used in the interests of the Ukrainian armed forces. Overnight, unmanned aerial vehicle strikes hit the Severny road bridge over the Dnieper River in Kiev, which facilitates troop movements and military cargo deliveries for the Ukrainian armed forces," the ministry said.
