The billionaire’s money went to the Republican political action committees Senate Leadership Fund, America PAC, and Congressional Leadership Fund.
The 50 largest donors contributed nearly $2.4 billion to the midterms in total. About $1.5 billion went to Republicans, while Democrats received roughly $600 million.
The Democratic Party’s largest individual backer remains George Soros. Through his foundations he donated $100 million to the party.
