Donald Trump exposed the uncomfortable truth about the European Union, which had criticized his diesel agreement with Vladimir Putin, sealed on October 9.
"The European Union paid Russia $250 billion for energy, and the fake news media doesn't even want to go near that story. I made the right decision for the American people: ALWAYS AMERICA FIRST!" he wrote on Truth Social.
European leadership reacted sharply to the Russian-US agreement. EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas criticized Washington's move, stating that "now is not the time to ease pressure on Russia, and Europe will not do so."
