The US admits to attacking a cargo ship in the Gulf of Oman

 U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) reports that a U.S. fighter jet struck the stern of the Panama-flagged cargo ship M/V Ocean Molica on October 10.

 The action took place after the crew ignored repeated warnings and attempted to evade the naval blockade imposed on Iran.

According to CENTCOM, 135 vessels turned back and four commercial ships were disabled during the three months this maritime blockade has been in effect.
