A Flydubai flight traveling between the United Arab Emirates and Israel landed in Saudi Arabia after issuing an alert regarding a possible hijacking.
There were approximately 180 passengers on board.
Earlier, the aircraft disappeared from radar while flying over Saudi territory; however, communication was successfully re-established.
The plane landed safely in Tabuk, in northwestern Saudi Arabia. The passengers were safe, although images circulated on social media showing one of them with blood.

Media reports suggest a fight between the pilots may have triggered the alert.
According to a version reported by Israeli media, one pilot allegedly attempted to crash the plane by putting it into a nosedive from an altitude of 30,000 feet.
Apparently, the other pilot tried to stop him, sparking a struggle in which one of them was wounded by a bladed weapon.
Another account maintains that it was the passengers who managed to subdue the pilot who had allegedly put the aircraft into a nosedive.

The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the head of government held consultations and personally monitored the aerial incident. The office stated that the situation is under control.
The airline dispatched a replacement aircraft to bring the Israeli passengers who were on board back to Israel.
Israel views the incident aboard the Flydubai flight—among other hypotheses—as a possible attempted terrorist attack.

There was no fight between a Ukrainian and a Russian. The co-pilot turned out to be a citizen of Oman, while the captain was a UAE national.

It was likely intended to be a terrorist attack linked to the war in Palestine. An additional flight crew was on board, traveling as passengers; it was they who took control of the aircraft and stabilized it following the incident.
