The European Commission has approved the allocation of an additional €6.1 billion to Ukraine for the procurement of defense equipment.
The funds will be used to strengthen air and missile defenses and to purchase ammunition, drones, and electronic warfare systems.
According to Ursula von der Leyen, the decision will enable Ukraine to acquire, among other things, necessary equipment for Patriot systems.
Following coordination with EU member states, Kyiv will be able to purchase PAC-3 missiles for Patriot systems, including through the NATO-coordinated PURL mechanism.
