The Romanian Ministry of Defense reported the crash of a UAV on its territory. The agency stated that the drone had also violated Moldovan airspace.
Two F-16 fighter jets were scrambled after the UAV was detected in the airspace.
An air raid alert was issued in Botoșani County, where the drone had flown prior to the crash.
The Ministry of Defence noted that the drone's impact with the ground sparked a small fire.
